Since formally taking ownership of the Great Collaboration website from the Herefordshire Green Network, we have decided to pilot the new additions we are currently developing (digital mapping, online forums, collective climate actions, local council and community group logins) in the four eastern counties of East Anglia.  This area was chosen as we already have steering group members in Cambridgeshire, Essex and Suffolk.

We held an online introductory call for an invited East Anglian audience on May 8th – a recording of the session is on YouTube.

Our overall objective is to pilot the gathering and sharing of climate action guidance with an audience of local councils and community groups, with a view to rolling out the lessons learnt across the UK.  As you know, the Great Collaboration is here to amplify current activity and join up good practice, not in any way to take over or supersede what is already happening on the ground (see our latest flier attached).

We are continuing our programme of free weekly banter sessions every Wednesday from midday.  Recent sessions have covered topics ranging from food security to community energy to freshwater watch, and you can see the recordings on our Great Collaboration channel by following this link, and register to attend future sessions here.

Last but not least, we are looking to gather stories and feedback from current and potential users of the Great Collaboration website to help us to further develop the available guidance.  You can email andrew.maliphant@greatcollaboration.uk for further information.
