In 2023, The National Lottery Community Fund launched its new seven-year strategy ‘It Starts With Community’. The strategy includes community-led missions. They will target the funding on particular outcomes within these missions, to drive the biggest change.
The National Lottery Community Fund will be making changes across all their funding in England from spring 2025.
For their strategy until 2030 they will focus on:
- tackling health inequalities (as part of the mission to enable people to live healthier lives)
- environmental injustice and access to quality nature (as part of the mission to help communities be environmentally sustainable)
- inclusive places and activities, prioritising communities least able to help people come together (as part of the mission to help communities come together)
- supporting babies, children, young people and their families to navigate key transitions in their lives (as part of the mission to help children and young people thrive).
This video provides an overview of the four community-led missions, and how funded projects can support each of the missions.
