The Tree Council’s grants programme for community groups, schools and Tree Warden Networks seeking funding of between £250 and £2,500 to establish trees, hedgerows, and orchards is now open until Sunday 1 December.
Branching Out supports applications ranging in value from £250 to £2,500, with specific criteria for those under £500, and those above £500. Application Guidance is available with essential information, from the types of trees that qualify, to recommendations around protection.
Successful applicants will be notified within 5-6 weeks of a completed submission. Applications for grants under £500 are likely to be processed more quickly.
Grants will be paid after planting has taken place, upon submission of a claim form, receipts and evidence of planting (photos).
All projects must have planted and submitted a claim form before midnight on Sunday 16 March 2025.
