Role of Assistant Support Officer

Job Title:

Part Time Assistant Support Officer

Project/Department:

WALC

Hours of Work:

12 hrs per week to include occasional weekends and evenings.

 

Usual hours to be 10 am – 2 pm three days per week (between Monday and Thursday)

Responsible to:

County Officer

Day to day supervision by Communications and Training Support Officer

 

Purpose:

 

To assist with general administrative and clerical support to the organisation.

Duties:

 

General

  1. Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems
  2. Perform data entry and scan documents
  3. Accessing and updating the website as required
  4. Accessing, updating and extracting information from databases and spreadsheets
  5. Creating spreadsheets and merging data to documents
  6. Liaising with external bodies and members as required by telephone, email and
  7. Dealing with incoming and outgoing post
  8. Maintaining office supplies for the organisation
  9. Dealing with membership queries

Training and Events

  1. To assist in the organisation of training and other events including the publicity of event, taking bookings, sending confirmations, dealing with queries and liaising with tutors
  2. Preparation of delegate packs
  3. Ensuring all supplies are available for each event
  4. Hosting events when required
  5. Evaluating post event feedback and logging attendances
