The Beaudesert & Henley-in-Arden Joint Parish Council requires a CLERK AND RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER TO THE COUNCIL

Salary : NJC Scale LC2, points 24-28 (£27,905 - £31,371 pro rata p.a.)

Start point dependent experience and progression subject to satisfactory performance

Part-time (30 hours per week)

You will ensure that all legal, statutory, financial and other governing provisions relating to the Council are observed, all Council meetings are properly administered, and decisions effectively implemented, whilst developing healthy working partnerships with key local and regional bodies.

If you have excellent financial, Committee and administrative experience in a local authority or similar environment, ideally understand local government financial systems and procedures, accounts, budget setting and monitoring, risk management and controls, this post is ideal.

You will also maintain effective and proper management and control of the Joint Parish Council’s financial affairs by keeping proper financial systems, records and controls, preparing and monitoring the Council’s budgets, ensuring that the Council complies with all requirements of Internal and External Audit, managing all aspects of insurance and the asset register and reporting to the Council and Committees.

Suitably qualified (ideally with or be willing to obtain CiLCA), highly motivated, enthusiastic and community focused, you will bring sound leadership, management, administrative, communication, IT, financial and organisational skills and be flexible in approach and able to meet deadlines.

We offer excellent nationally based terms and conditions of employment for this part time post which involves evening and, very occasional, weekend attendance.
