A new report has been commissioned by the Princes Trust looking into issues affecting rural communities. Their findings make interesting reading and may help identify opportunities for communities to apply for grant funding for projects.

The Prince’s Countryside Fund wanted to understand how rural communities can be helped to be self-sufficient and viable into 2030 and beyond. This will assist the Fund to plan and deliver its future support to rural areas through grant giving, advocacy or enabling delivery. Through the process, it was hoped to identify case studies and examples of best practice, highlight key areas of opportunity for future policy consideration and make recommendations for rural communities to consider in order to ensure a resilient and sustainable future.
