I am writing from the Warwickshire PCC’s Office to make you all aware of some new opportunities opening up for small grants applications.  Community projects, crime-reduction initiatives, victims’ support services and non-profit groups are set for a cash injection from Warwickshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Seccombe, as he opens two grants schemes for applications for the coming financial year.

Through his Commissioner’s Grants Scheme, Mr Seccombe is hoping to fund a range of initiatives which support the ambitions of his Police and Crime Plan, through a small grants scheme of up to £10,000 and those targeted at reducing re-offending for up to £15,000.

The scheme is open to both established and new non-profit service providers who will deliver projects that address the key objectives of the Police and Crime Plan.
Successful applications will demonstrate how they can provide Warwickshire residents with services which will:

  • Put victims and survivors first;
  • Ensure efficient and effective policing;
  • Protect people from harm;
  • Or prevent and reduce crime.

Applications are welcomed from community, voluntary, third-sector and statutory organisations which deliver either county-wide or targeted services in one or more local authority areas within Warwickshire.

Opening the application process, Mr Seccombe said: “My grants scheme has been operating for a number of years, delivering great outcomes for victims of crime, providing advice and support services and contributing to a reduction in re-offending, all of which support the vital work of Warwickshire Police.

“By channelling resources towards the right projects and initiatives, I can make a real difference to local communities, so I am keen to receive new applications for funding for 2019/20. I hope to be able to provide a great New Year ‘present’ for a range of initiatives which can create a safer and more secure Warwickshire for everyone, so do get your applications in before the deadline closes in January.”

The deadline for applications is noon on Thursday 24 January, 2019. Late applications will not be considered or evaluated.

For more information and details of how to apply, visit https://www.warwickshire-pcc.gov.uk/your-pcc/commissioners-grants/2019-20-commissioners-grant-scheme/. Alternatively, please email .

All applications will be subject to a rigorous evaluation process and details of successful applications and the total funding award will be announced in Spring 2019.

In addition, the Commissioner will be announcing the award of larger scale grants for 2019/20 and details of newly commissioned support services for victims in the New Year.”
