NALC are continuing to lobby on to press the case for local councils to have the flexibiliy of online and hybrid council meetings.
This was included in their parliamentary briefing on the Levelling Up Bill and Regeneration Bill which was picked up during this week’s debate and which we are following up with MPs. Support from outside the sector on this campaign is really important so it was good to see Mumsnet continue their backing through an open letter to Michael Gove MP to keep council meetings accessible. The letter follows recent research which backs our call for councils to have this flexibility and asks councillors to sign the letter – I would urge all our 100,000 councillors to consider signing it!
