Grant fund only Applies to Councils with turnovers of less than £25K

WALC have funding available from Central Government to support small councils in achieving and maintaining their ability to comply with the Transparency Code.

Deadline for applications to be received by WALC is 12th February 2018

In 2016 we supported over 20 Local Councils in obtaining over £13K in free funding for this work.

There is still time to appy.  If your council does not have its own computer or Scanner and relies on the equipment of the Clerk you are entitled to apply as the Government believes a Council should have long term sustainability.  You can also apply for setting up and maintaining a website, including staff training.

For those that have applied before you can apply again for ongoing support with maintaining the website.

NALC will be assessing the applications twice a month throughout the year so you can apply at any time.
