Each local council must adopt and publicise a code of conduct that is in linewith the Nolan principles. The code should deal with councillors’ obligationsabout their conduct including the registration and disclosure of their interests.

The Local Government Association (LGA) published the new model Councillor code of conduct which NALC have adopted and we expect Districts Boroughs, Unitaries and County Councils to adopt.
