The briefing will give an overview of local policing and rural crime, as well as how to communicate with police teams, enage with the community and address current concerns.

This event is being run by Stratford District Council and is open to Parish and Town Councillors & Clerks from the Stratford on Avon District area.

Programme Objectives

  • Overview of local policing, the Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNT) in the District, their strategy and the focus on community engagement and problem solving
  • Discussion on methods of engagement and ways to receive information and also communicate with the police teams
  • Overview of Rural Crime and how the new Rural Crime Team operates
  • Community Concerns/Current Trends, e.g.
    • Begging and homelessness
    • Speeding and nuisance vehicles
    • Drugs and County Lines
