WALC Council Training

training strategy SMALLERWALC provides training under the 'National Improvement Strategy for Parish and Town Councils'

The National Training Strategy (NTS) represents a national commitment to training in the local council sector shared by national, regional and local stakeholder organisations. The purpose of the Strategy is to offer training to councils in order for them to make the most of their role and carry out their duties more easily.

3P’s – People, Plans and Precept

The 3P’s will take delegates through the budget setting process starting with the basics of who will be involved right through to understanding the impact of the council’s decision on the town or parish’s council tax payers. On the way we will identify the plans that are needed to ensure the council and its community can move forward with confidence and understanding.

The course will be led by Gill Lungley
