An interactive, fast-paced seminar about how Parish and Town Councils can most effectively engage with their local communities in a post-lockdown context, held in partnership with Breakthrough Communications.

This practical, virtual session will give Clerks and other Officers useful insight into how to strategically improve the Council's communications with local residents across both print, digital and high-visibility media.

We will look at what is working well for other town and parish councils and consider how build up effective two-way conversations with your community, even where staff or financial resources are limited.

This session is open to Council Officers only

Breakthrough Communications are NALC’s National Partners for advice, guidance and services for council communications, as well as for Data Protection, GDPR and Freedom Of Information.

Breakthrough Communications

Daniel Purchese is Co-Director of Breakthrough Communications, who are NALC's national partner for communications and data protection. He has more than two decades' professional experience in communications and engagement, as well as designing and implementing large-scale training programmes. Like many of the Breakthrough Communications team, Daniel is also a serving Councillor, and understands the unique challenges and opportunities that local councils face.
