CiLCA helps you to become more aware of the law and procedures for local councils and helps you work with the planning system. CiLCA helps your council achieve standards of good practice and builds the reputation of local councils in a fast-changing world.
CiLCA Portfolio Guidance units 1&5
Open to any candidates registered on the Training Package to complete the CiLCA portfolio whose council is a member of the Association.
This session will focus upon units 1 & 5 of the portfolio
- Unit 1: Core Roles in Local Council Administration
- Unit 5: Community Engagement

This session will focus upon unit 2 of the portfolio
- Unit 2: Law and Procedures in Local Councils

Please ensure you have some knowledge of the General Power of Competence and "Section 137 prior to attending this session.
GPoC is covered in the Clerks Toolkit sessions held in March and October
